  Went there Saturday with my brother food was lovely my only criticism was I ordered a coffee at the bar and they didn't have the correct saucer so by the time I got o my seat I lost a bit , I'm going there today at 12 with my best friend for a meal and a good catch up xx. Well I'm back from my second visit in one week was there today with my best friend got to say the carvery was just as tasty the waiting staff were brilliant very attentive engaged with our banter wished I'd have got the lady's name she was lovely xx this time we had desert as well but sadly I should have read the menu correctly we ordered Easton mess came out looking fabulous big and yummy looking xx I was so disappointed that there were no strawberry ,s but in fairness it didn't say it in the menu it said strawberry compot xx regards Wendy Riley xx

  Quick service at bar and at carvery, chef was very polite and accommodating. Food though was abit of a disappointment, some of the meat was very dry, think it had been there for a while, Yorkshire's cold and hard, roast potatoes were cold/hard as if they had sat there for ages, gravy was cold. This is the first time we've been here since it reopened, will possibly try and come back to see what the breakfast is like.

  This place.has gone down hill since they reopened! The staff didn't have a clue what was going on and was all too busy having cigarettes out the back. One poor lad who was carving the meat was having to do everything, there was very little meat left and the lady behind me asked for another joint of Turkey as it was was basically the scraps left and he said no they can't put another one out till 5pm (it was only 3pm). I asked for gammon and he gave me pork thinking it was gammon so I think some more training is required. One lady had brought her grandchildren here for pizzas as it was school holiday you would think they would be doing pizzas right?...no, they said they wasn't doing pizzas. There was no knife and forks on my table so we had to hunt around on other tables for knives amd fork. This place is an absolute joke I used to come here once every two weeks I'm not coming back here again. Would highly recommend manor Farm ( the old fort jester) if your looking for a nice carvery.

  Excellent place to eat. Warm, cozy place, quality food and staff friendly and efficient. Very good value for money. They've just opened a pizza stone baked in their new oven and a burger bar. Vegetarian options. Drinks only area with a good range. There are TV's in those areas, good range of drinks both hot and cold. Plenty of tables but it can get very busy. This is a good place to go.
